The Palace of Culture and Science is the tallest building in the country and the eighth tallest building in Europe.  It serves as the headquarters for a number of organizations. It reaches a height of 778 feet (237 m) with 42 floors.

The main square dates back to the 13th century. It encompasses 430,000 square feet (40,000 sq m). It is the largest medieval town square in Europe. The Cloth Hall serves as the anchor of the square.

Ottokar II of Bohemia destroyed the original structure n 1263. The current Ksiaz Castle was constructed between 1288 and 1292.

The Moszna Castle is one of the most significant monuments in the western part of the country. It dates back into the 17th century.

Malbork Castle, also called the Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork, is the largest castle in the world based on surface area. It is the largest brick building in Europe. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and dates back to 1406.

The Cloth Hall is one of the country’s most iconic landmarks. The Sukiennice Museum, also called the Gallery of 19th Century Polish Art at Sukiennice, is a section of the National Museum is located on the second floor It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Niedzica Castle, also called Dunajec Castle, was constructed between 1320 and 1326. It is located on the mouth of the Dunajec River. It is considered one of the most beautiful castles in the country.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine was founded in the 13th century. It was functional from origin through 2007 producing table salt. It is one of the world’s oldest salt mines. The mine features three chapels, a number of statues, and a complete cathedral.

The Crooked House, locally called Krzywy Domek, is a distortedly shaped house located Sopot. Found in the Rezydent shopping center, it encompasses about 4,000 square meters.

Ogrodzieniec Castle is a castle ruins from the medieval times. It was originally constructed in the 14th century, however it has been rebuilt several times. It is now a landmark attraction open to the public.

The Jasna Gora Monastery is an iconic shrine to the Virgin Mary. The country has declared it a national Historic Monument. The key feature is the Black Badonna of Czestochowa image.

Ojcow National Park is the country’s smallest national park encompassing 8.3 square miles (21.5 sq km). It is renowned for the various rock formations. The most notable is Hercules’ Club which reaches a height of 82 feet (25 m).

Wroclaw Town Hall is more commonly known as the Old Town Hall of Wroclaw. It is the largest city in the western part of the country.
