Seven Wonders of the United States

Mount Rushmore is a national memorial of four famous presidents.  Their faces have been carbed into the granite face of the mountain.  The presidents include: Jefferson, Washington, Roosevelt, and Lincoln.  One of the most iconic memorials in the world.

Once the tallest building in the world, the Empire States Building is one of the most iconic buildings in the world. Featured in an array of movies from the adventurous King Kong to the romantic Sleepless in Seattle. The Empire States Building is 103 stories and reaches a height of 1,250 feet (381 m).

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge that extends across the Golden Gate Strait.  The bridge measures 8,980 feet (2,734 m) across and reaches a height of 746 feet (227 m).  An easy iconic reflection of US engineering and innovation.

Magic Kingdom, the heart of Disneyworld, is just that - magical. Disneyworld penetrates the hearts of sousl of children and families from around the world. It is the number one tourist destination in the world and rightly so. It is hard to garner so much spirit and joy in one location that creates memories of a lifetime.

The Hoover Dam was contructed in the early 1930s and the Great Depression.  Hoover Dam creates Lake Mead which is the largest reservoir in the United States based on volume of water.  The dam is 726 feet (221 m) high and extends 1,244 feet (376 m) across.

The White House is the official residence and primary worklace for the President of the United States.  The White House is six stories with two of those serving as basement levels below ground.  The White House was originally constucted between 1792 and 1800.

The Washington Monument is an obelisk located on the National Mall in Washington D.C., and was contructed as a memorial to George Washington.  Contruction was completed in 1884 creating the world's tallest stone structure and tallest obelisk.  The height measures 555.5 feet (169.3 m) high.

The Space Needle is an observation tower originally constructed for the 1962 World's Fair. At the time, it was athe tallest structure west of the Mississippi River. It stands 605 feet (184 m) high and will withstand windes up to 200 mph and earthquakes with a magnitude of 9.1.

The Statue of Liberty is the iconic symbol of freedom. She welcomes visitors and travelers as they cross the seas and enter into the country. The Statue of Liberty stands just over 151 feet (46 m) from ground to torch. It was dedicated October 28, 1886.

The United States Capitol Building is the meeting place of the US Congress, the legislature of the US federal government.  It features five floors and encompasses 16.5 acres.

Broadway is technically a road that runs through the borough of Manhattan.  However, it is much more an iconic symbol to the life, culture and celebration that is New York City.  An epic center of entertainment, events and other celebrations.

Alcatraz was historically referred to as "the rock." It was originally a military prison and then later a federal prison from 1868 through 1963. It became a National Historic Landmark in 1986. Movies, tv shows and documentaries have all featured the history and mystery of the island prison.

The Brooklin Bridge is one of the odlest suspension bridges in the United Stats. It expands 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m) across the East River connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan. Construction was completed in 1883. It received the designation of National Historic Landmark in 1964.

Gateway Arch is also referred to as the St. Louis Arch. It is a 630 foot high monument built in the form of a flattened catenary arch. It is the tallest man-made monument in the US and the world's tallest arch.
