Seven Wonders of Madagascar

Ranomafana National Park is situated in Madagascar, in its southeastern part. The park is composed of 161 square miles of tropical rainforest. Ranomafana is famous for its vast population of rare flora and fauna species, including the lemur. Ranomafana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Masoala National Park was created in 1997 and has a total of 2,300 kilometers of rainforest and marine parks with an area of 100 square kilometers. The peninsula of Masoala is one of a kind featuring a variety of habitats that include mangroves, coastal forests, marsh and rainforests.

Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is primarily composed of growth forest situated in the Alaotra-Mangoro region. Andasibe-Mantadia experiences humid climate with elevation ranging from 900 to 1,250 meters. The national park serves as a home to so many rare and endangered species, as the list includes 11 lemur species.

The Royal Hill of Ambohimanga is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hill can be found in Antananarivo, which is the capital city of Madagascar. Ambohimanga is also a royal settlement that is traditional and fortified. The village contains historic residences and a few key monarchs’ burial sites.

The Avenue of the Baobabs is a group of baobab trees that line up the dirt road that is found in between Belon’I Tsiribihina and the Morondava. The landscape of the Alley of the Baobabs is striking. The Avenue of the Baobabs is one of the most visited sites in Madgascar.

The Nosy Be is an island resort in Madagacar. It is the largest and busiest tourist resort in Madagascar. The area of the island is estimated at 120 square miles (312 sq km), with a population of more than 36,000. The term Nosy Be is Malagasy for “big island”.

Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park can be found in Madagascar’s Melaky region. The national park is located on two geological formations. Those formations are the Little Tsingy and the Great Tsingy. Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park is part f the UNESCO World Heritage Sites List.

Isalo National is situated in Madgascar’s Ihorombe region. It is popular for its features of different kinds of terrain, deep canyons, sandstone formations, grassland and palm-lined oases. The variety of nature experiences attracts many visiors to the park.

Ile Sainte Marie is more formally known as the Nosy Boraha. It is and island situated in Madagascar’s east coast. The island has an area of 222 square kilometers with an estimated population of more than 16,000. Ile Saint Marie is best known as the best spot for whale-watching in Madgascar.
