Seven Wonders of Algeria

The Hoggar Mountains, also referred to as Ahaggar, are a highland region in the Sahara Desert. Mostly rocky desert with an average height of 3,000 feet (900 m) with the highest point being the peak of Mount Tahat at 9,541 feet (2,908 m).

Moqam Echahid, meaning Martyrs' Memorial, is an important concrete monument honoring the Algerian war for independence. The monument opened in 1982 and features the 'eternal flame' with the statue of a soldier standing at each palm leaf.

Benia Hammad Fort, is also known as Al Qal'a of Beni Hammad, is a fortified palatine city in Algeria. It was the first capital during the Hammadid dynasty and is located at an elevation of 1,418 meters. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the epitome of an authentic fortified Muslim city.
